Basic Game Play Instructions
Welcome to A Murder Mystery Dinner. You are about to experience a game of mystery, deceit, and murder. Look around the room as one of you will be murdered by someone else in this room before this event is over. Who will the murderer be? This is what you must figure out.
Here is how it all works.
Some of you have been assigned a character. It will be your job to share certain information if asked and interact with other characters. Follow the instructions in your binder however, it is important for the integrity of this game that you do not proceed past certain points in your binder until you are instructed.
The rest of you are guests at the party and will become investigators after the murder. Walk around, talk to other guests and get to know people all while learning what you can about our Characters.
There will be four rounds. During round one, you will get to know the characters. Learn what they do for a living and who they interact with. Your team will want to gather much information as you can from each character.
During round two, character motives will start to develop. Many people may have a motive for murder, but only one has the will to follow through.
Round three will be your chance to investigate the murder and see if you can determine who the suspect really is.
Finally, in round four you will have your chance to accuse your suspects and see if you can get them to admit to the crime. The only question is will you guess right, or will you let a murderer get away?
