If you live on Oahu, a birthday at a Waikiki hotel is not a celebration, it is somewhere you avoid. A local milestone birthday looks quite different from what the guidebooks suggest.
1. A private murder mystery party
Ours, and first because it is genuinely something different for a guest list that has done everything the island offers, and it works indoors when the trade winds bring rain.
We come to your venue — a house, a community hall, a private room away from Waikiki.
2. A beach park pavilion
The local default and rightly so. Reserve a pavilion, bring food, and it costs almost nothing. Book early — the good ones go.
3. A private dining room
Kaimuki, Chinatown and Kakaako have excellent rooms at prices that do not assume you are on holiday.
4. A backyard party
Works year-round, which almost nowhere else can claim. Rain showers are brief but real — have cover.
5. A boat charter
A genuine occasion and expensive. Nobody can leave early.
6. A potluck with a plan
Deeply local, cheap, and the food is always better than catering. It needs something planned or it is just a long meal.
7. A hike-and-brunch morning
Lovely for a smaller group. Self-selects on fitness.
8. A house party with something planned
Cheapest and most flexible. Needs a plan.
If your guest list has done everything this island offers, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
