December in Tampa is the best month of the year, which means it is also peak season. Venues are pricing for visitors, the snowbirds are back, and the good private rooms are gone earlier than in colder cities where nobody wants to go out.
Nine options and what each costs you.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own venue
Ours, and first because it removes you from the December venue market entirely. We come to your office or a room you already have — no competing with seasonal demand for a restaurant.
It also breaks up the departmental clumping that makes most office parties forgettable.
2. A restaurant buyout
The default, and December pricing here reflects the season. Book by September.
3. A hotel ballroom
Right for a few hundred people. Peak-season rates, and large enough that people cluster.
4. A waterfront or rooftop venue
The weather will cooperate, which is precisely why everyone wants it. Book very early and expect a minimum spend.
5. A boat charter
Contained, memorable, and expensive. Nobody can leave early, which cuts both ways.
6. A daytime lunch
Cheaper and better attended, especially with staff crossing the bay. Ninety minutes and finished.
7. A brewery buyout
Better value than the waterfront and plentiful on both sides of the bay. Casual, and needs thought for non-drinkers.
8. A cooking or cocktail class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
9. Charitable giving instead of an event
Well received and genuinely worthwhile. Not, on its own, a party.
Timing
Settle December by the end of September here — peak season makes it earlier than most cities. We ask for about 45 days, so early October is the last practical call.
If you would rather not compete with the season for a venue, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
