December in the East Valley is close to perfect and it is peak snowbird season, so venues are busy and priced for winter visitors. Booking early matters more here than in colder cities.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own venue
Ours, and first because it takes you out of the seasonal venue competition entirely.
It also gets people out of their own departments.
2. An outdoor patio or resort event
December weather is genuinely the draw here. Snowbird pricing applies and they book early.
3. A restaurant buyout
Good value away from the resort corridor. Book by September.
4. A hotel ballroom
Right for a few hundred people. Peak-season rates.
5. A brewery buyout
Better value than the resorts. Non-drinkers need thought.
6. A daytime lunch
Cheaper and better attended, and an outdoor December lunch here is genuinely pleasant.
7. A cooking class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
8. A community centre or clubhouse event
Cheap, private and easy. It needs something planned in it.
9. Charitable giving instead of an event
Well received and not a party by itself.
Timing
Settle December by the end of September; snowbird season makes it earlier here. We ask for about 45 days, so early October is the last practical call.
If you would rather not compete with winter visitors for a venue, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
