Orlando has more event space per head than almost anywhere in the country, which sounds like it should make a December party easy. It does not — that space is built for conventions and priced for them, and December is when the tourist season restarts in earnest.
Nine options and their trade-offs.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own venue
Ours. First because it removes you from a market built for people with far bigger budgets than yours. We come to your office or a room you already have.
It also breaks up the departmental clumping that makes an office party forgettable.
2. A restaurant buyout
The default. Winter Park and Thornton Park go first; book by September.
3. A hotel ballroom
Orlando does these better than anywhere. Priced accordingly, and enormous — a hundred people in a convention ballroom looks like a handful.
4. A brewery buyout
Better value and more characterful than a hotel. Casual, and non-drinkers need planning for.
5. A theme park private event
Genuinely spectacular and genuinely expensive. Worth it for a milestone year; hard to justify annually.
6. A daytime lunch
Cheaper and better attended, especially with staff spread from Sanford to Kissimmee.
7. A boat or lake venue
December weather here is excellent, which is the argument. It also means competing with visitors for it.
8. A cooking or cocktail class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
9. Charitable giving instead of a party
Well received and worthwhile, and not an event by itself.
Timing
Book December by the end of September. We ask for about 45 days, so early October is the last practical moment.
If you want a party that is about your team rather than the venue, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
