Tulsa is inexpensive to host a party in and the downtown venues are better than the city's size suggests. December's risk is ice rather than snow, which is worse for driving and harder to predict.
Nine options and their trade-offs.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own venue
Ours, and first because ice cannot cancel a party in your own building.
It also gets people out of their departmental groups.
2. A restaurant buyout
Very good value here. Book by September for December.
3. A hotel ballroom
Right for a few hundred people at sensible rates.
4. An Art Deco or historic venue
Tulsa has genuinely special buildings and several do events. Long lead times.
5. A brewery buyout
Good value in the Arts District. Non-drinkers need thought.
6. A daytime lunch
Better attended and cheaper, and nobody drives home on ice.
7. An ice rink outing
Central, cheap and seasonal. An hour, and not for everyone physically.
8. A cooking or cocktail class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
9. Charitable giving instead of an event
Well received and not a party by itself.
Timing
Settle December by the end of September. We ask for about 45 days, so early October is the practical deadline — and decide in advance what happens on an ice day.
If you want a party that ice on the roads cannot cancel, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
