December is the off-season at the oceanfront, which is genuinely good news — venues that are impossible in July are available and reasonably priced. The complication is a shift-working, military-heavy workforce where one evening date will always exclude somebody.
Nine options and their trade-offs.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own venue
Ours, and first because we come to you at a time that fits your rota. Some companies run it twice in a day to cover two shifts.
It also gets people out of their own departments.
2. An oceanfront hotel in the off-season
Genuinely good value in December and a real change from the office. Check the tunnel drive for your staff.
3. A restaurant buyout
Good value off-season. Book by September for December.
4. A brewery buyout
Good value and casual. Non-drinkers need thought.
5. A daytime lunch
Better attended with a shift-based workforce, and cheaper.
6. A Town Center venue
Central for most of the city and easier than the oceanfront in winter.
7. The holiday lights at the oceanfront
A genuine local tradition and staff with families appreciate it. It is a drive-through, so pair it with something.
8. A cooking or cocktail class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
9. Charitable giving instead of an event
Very well received in this community. Not a party by itself.
Timing
Settle December by the end of September. We ask for about 45 days, so early October is the practical last call.
If one evening date will always leave part of your team out, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
