Colorado Springs is a genuinely good reunion destination — the scenery does most of the work and there is enough range that different ages can find something. The thing to plan for is altitude, which affects arriving relatives for a day or two.
1. A hosted murder mystery
Ours, and first because it works for every age and asks nothing of anyone physically — which on day one at six thousand feet matters more than people expect.
We come to wherever the family is — a rental house, a lodge, a church hall.
2. Garden of the Gods
Free, spectacular, and the paved paths make it manageable for most ages. Go in the morning.
3. A park shelter cookout
Reservable shelters and genuine shade. Afternoon storms in summer are worth planning around.
4. The Pikes Peak cog railway
A real occasion and everyone is together. Fourteen thousand feet is a serious consideration for older relatives — check first.
5. A cabin or lodge weekend
The classic Colorado reunion. Book well ahead for summer.
6. A big group dinner in a private room
Worth doing once and reasonably priced. Choose parking over fashion.
7. A family quiz or talent show
Free, and usually the older generation's favourite. Someone has to run it.
If half the family arrived yesterday and is still feeling the altitude, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
