Distinctively local and a real shared effort. It self-selects hard on swimming confidence.
4. An escape room
Indoors, good for six to eight, and it fragments above that.
5. A cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and the food culture here makes it worthwhile.
6. A hike — Diamond Head or Manoa Falls
Beautiful and accessible. Permits and parking need arranging for a group, and it self-selects.
7. A luau
Expensive, aimed at visitors, and most locals have done it. Save it for staff who have just moved here.
8. Volunteering
Very well received here and there is real community feeling behind it. Parallel work rather than shared work.
