Long Beach is its own city with its own economy — the port, aerospace, healthcare, the university — and it sits inside the worst traffic in the country. That second fact governs every event decision you make. An evening start means people crawling on the 405 to get to you.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own office or venue
Ours, and first because we come to you. Hold it at four in the afternoon at your own office and nobody sits in traffic for an hour to attend a work event.
Everyone gets a character and a motive, indoors, about two hours.
2. A harbour or Catalina trip
Genuinely distinctive and contained — everyone is together and nobody wanders. Expensive, and a full day for Catalina.
3. An escape room
Good for six to eight, indoors, and it fragments above that.
4. A day at the Aquarium of the Pacific
Excellent and a real local asset. It is a walking, wandering activity and people disperse.
5. A brewery buyout
A good local scene with real function space. Non-drinkers need thought.
6. A beach or bike path day
The coastal path is genuinely lovely and free. Weather is rarely the problem; self-selection is.
7. A cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and indoors. Priced per head.
8. Volunteering
Well received. Parallel work rather than shared work.
The Long Beach planning note
Never schedule anything that requires driving between four and seven. That single rule will do more for your attendance than any venue. And if part of your team comes from Orange County or the South Bay, the difference between a 4pm and a 6pm start is enormous.
If the 405 decides who turns up to your events, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
