Mesa's planning rule is the same as the rest of the Valley and it is absolute: from May to September, an outdoor afternoon is not an option. Not unpleasant — genuinely dangerous. That takes half the usual list off the table for nearly half the year.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own office or venue
Ours, and first because it is indoors, air-conditioned, and we bring it to you. In a Valley summer, "somewhere with air conditioning" is the whole brief.
Everyone gets a character and a motive, and it runs in about two hours.
2. An escape room
Indoors, good for six to eight, and it fragments above that.
3. A cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and reliably indoors. Priced per head.
4. A Salt River or Saguaro Lake day
Genuinely lovely from October to April and a real change of scene. A summer afternoon on the water is still a summer afternoon.
5. A spring training game
February and March, and it is a genuine East Valley institution. Three hours facing the same direction.
6. A brewery buyout
A growing scene with function space at fair prices. Non-drinkers need thought.
7. A hike in the Superstitions
Spectacular, October to April only, and it self-selects hard.
8. Volunteering
Well received and easy to arrange. Parallel work rather than shared work.
The Mesa planning note
Treat May to September as indoor-only and do not apologise for it. And if your team spans the East Valley, a venue in Mesa or Gilbert beats one in central Phoenix for almost everybody.
If you need something that works when it is a hundred and fifteen outside, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
