Licensee Program

A new revenue stream for your venue or business — run murder mystery nights in your own territory using our games, our training and our brand.

The opportunity

Host your own murder mystery events

Build a business with a low upfront investment. As a licensee you run, manage and grow your own murder mystery events using our proven themes, tools and resources.

You get everything needed to start: game kits, a personalised webpage, digital marketing support, social media assets and full training. Ongoing success meetings mean you are never doing it alone.

You operate on your own terms, with an established brand behind you — whether this is a side business alongside what you already run, or something you take full time.

Your earning potential

What a territory can be worth

Add murder mystery nights to what you already do — and add this to what you already earn. Your territory's population sets the tier, and the tier sets what it can be worth.

Sales estimates by tier: Tier One $20,000 to $47,000, Tier Two $40,000 to $72,000, Tier Three $80,000 to $125,000, Tier Four $150,000 to $200,000
  • Tier 1 — population 1–2 million. Approx. 24 events per year.
  • Tier 2 — population 2–3 million. Approx. 45 events per year.
  • Tier 3 — population 3–4 million. Approx. 73 events per year.
  • Tier 4 — population 4 million plus. Approx. 128 events per year.

Average ticket prices from past events: cocktail events $40, dinner events $65.

For most of our licensees this sits alongside an existing business — an escape room, a venue, an events company — filling nights that were already on the calendar and bringing new customers through the door who come back for what you normally sell.

Sales figures are estimates based on territory population tiers at around 70% ticket sell-through, drawn from our own past events. They describe what an established licensee can build towards — not a guarantee, and not what you should expect in your first months while you build awareness in your city.

Program benefits

What you get

Territory exclusivity

Become the sole licensee in your area by hosting regular events and meeting the volume for your tier. Territory protection is earned through results rather than granted at signing — and our team is there to help you reach it.

Training and resources

We are alongside you from the first booking to the final accusation, with dedicated event coordinators and a full training library so every event runs properly.

Customers from day one

Adding A Murder Mystery Dinner to what you already offer brings our existing customers to your business, and attracts new ones alongside a steady stream of revenue.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does it cost money to join?

Yes — there is an initial onboarding fee covering the cost of bringing you into the company, manufacturing your game kits, and our travel to be there in person at your first event. Payment plans are available. If you are the right candidate we will find a way to make it work.

Can I host private events?

Not currently. The licence covers public, ticketed events. We offer private events at a lower rate than our public ones to keep them affordable, so they sit outside the licence for now. We are looking at how to open this up.

How long until I am hosting events?

Onboarding takes a couple of weeks, then you can start planning. Events must be posted at least three months ahead so marketing, search and word of mouth have time to work — that lead time is one of the biggest factors in a successful launch.

How many events do I need to host?

The yearly minimum depends on your territory's population tier, and we will go through the specific number for your area on your information call.

What if I don't hit the numbers for my tier?

Our success managers work with you on sales and marketing to get you there — we want you to succeed. If events and sales stay consistently low we will sit down with you and agree a plan of action.

What exactly is my territory?

Your territory is the area in which you are our sole licensee, so no one else offers our games there. Territory boundaries vary by city and may change over time or at our discretion. Protection applies once you are meeting the volume expected for your tier.
