If you live in Charleston, King Street on a Saturday night is not a celebration, it is somewhere you avoid. A local milestone birthday usually wants to be off the peninsula and away from the crowds.
1. A private murder mystery party
Ours, and first because it is genuinely different for a guest list that has eaten everywhere, and it is indoors and air-conditioned.
We come to your venue — a house in Mount Pleasant, a hall in West Ashley, a private room off the peninsula.
2. A backyard or porch party
The local default and excellent October to May. Humid and buggy in high summer.
3. A private dining room
The food genuinely justifies doing this properly. Off-peninsula rooms cost a fraction of downtown.
4. A boat or harbour charter
A real occasion. Expensive, and nobody can leave early.
5. An oyster roast
The most Lowcountry thing there is and a genuinely good shared activity. Autumn and winter.
6. A beach gathering at Folly or Sullivan's
Free and lovely. Parking is the whole problem in season.
7. A cocktail or cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and indoors.
8. A house party with something planned
Cheapest and most flexible. Needs a plan.
If your guest list has eaten everywhere on the peninsula, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
