Des Moines is a city where people tend to stay or come back, so a milestone birthday guest list usually spans school, work and neighbourhood. The city is compact enough that everyone can get there; the job is getting them to talk.
1. A private murder mystery party
Ours, and first because it makes those groups interact within minutes. Everyone gets a character and a secret.
We come to your venue — a house in Beaverdale, a hall, a private room in the East Village.
2. A private dining room
The East Village and downtown have genuinely good restaurants with rooms for twenty to forty.
3. A brewery buyout
A good scene at fair value. Better for a drinking crowd.
4. A backyard party
Excellent May to September. Humid in July and finished by October.
5. A sculpture park or riverfront gathering
Free and central. Very much a summer option.
6. Bowling or an arcade bar
Indoors and weather-proof, which for half the year matters. Loud and splits by lane.
7. A cocktail or cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and a strong winter option.
8. A house party with something planned
Cheapest and most flexible. Needs a plan.
If the guest list spans every part of your life and none of them have met, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
