A Madison birthday is decided by the month. May to September the lakes and the terrace make almost anything work. November to March it needs to be indoors and worth the effort.
1. A private murder mystery party
Ours, and first because it is the best winter answer here and works just as well in July. Everyone gets a character and a secret.
We come to your venue — a house near the lakes, a hall, a private room downtown.
2. A private dining room
The isthmus has genuinely good restaurants with rooms for twenty to forty.
3. A brewery buyout
A strong Wisconsin scene at good value. Better for a drinking crowd.
4. A lakeside or terrace summer party
Excellent for four months and unbeatable in July. Have an indoor fallback in May and September.
5. A supper club evening
A genuine Wisconsin institution and a lovely thing for a milestone birthday.
6. Bowling or an arcade bar
Indoors and weather-proof. Loud and splits by lane.
7. A cocktail or cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and a strong winter option.
8. A house party with something planned
Cheapest and most flexible, and in this climate the most common. Needs a plan.
If you are planning something between November and April and want it worth the coat, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
