Good value and casual. Non-drinkers need thought.
6. A daytime lunch
Much better attended when the alternative is driving home on snow in the dark.
7. A Riverfront Park ice ribbon outing
Central, seasonal and genuinely fun for an hour. Not for everyone physically.
8. A cooking or cocktail class
Good for twenty to thirty and reliably indoors.
9. Charitable giving instead of an event
Well received here. Not a party by itself.
