Kincaid or Earthquake Park, with light until late. Cool even in July — bring layers.
4. A wildlife or glacier day
The thing visiting relatives came for. A long day, so build the rest of the schedule around it.
5. A day at the Alaska Native Heritage Center
Genuinely worthwhile and holds a wide age range, indoors and out.
6. A big group dinner in a private room
Worth doing once and the seafood justifies it. Book ahead — summer is peak season.
7. A family quiz or slideshow night
Free, and with light until midnight nobody notices the time. Someone has to run it.
