Chesapeake works well for a reunion for an unglamorous reason: there is space. Houses are larger and cheaper than in Norfolk or Virginia Beach, and the beach and the city are both half an hour away. Summer humidity is the constraint.
1. A hosted murder mystery
Ours, and first because it works for every age at once, indoors and air-conditioned, and the large rental houses here suit it well.
We come to wherever the family is — a house, a church hall, a community centre.
2. A cookout at the house
The practical centre of most reunions here, and the space makes it easy.
3. A park shelter cookout
Plenty of parkland and reservable shelters. Take a covered one and go in the morning.
4. A day at the oceanfront
Half an hour away. Go early and take shade.
5. A canal or Dismal Swamp outing
Genuinely distinctive and quiet. Flat and manageable for most ages.
6. A big group dinner in a private room
Worth doing once. Choose somewhere with parking, which here is easy.
7. A family quiz or talent show
Free, and usually the older generation's favourite. Someone has to run it.
If you have the house and the space and just need one evening that involves everybody, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
