Chesapeake is enormous in area and thin on centre — over three hundred square miles with no real downtown. That is the defining planning fact: there is no obvious place to meet, so wherever you choose, somebody is driving a long way, possibly through a tunnel.
1. A hosted murder mystery at your own office or venue
Ours, and first because we come to you, which is the only clean answer to a city with no centre. Hold it at your own office and only your own people drive.
Everyone gets a character and a motive, indoors, in about two hours.
2. An escape room
Indoors, good for six to eight, and it fragments above that.
3. A day on the water or the Dismal Swamp canal
Genuinely distinctive and nothing like it elsewhere in the region. Weather-dependent and seasonal.
4. A brewery buyout
A growing scene at fair prices. Non-drinkers need thought.
5. A cooking class
Good for twelve to twenty-five and reliably indoors.
6. A trip into Norfolk or Virginia Beach
More venue choice, and a tunnel or a long drive for a good part of your team.
7. A city park or trail day
Plenty of green space and it is free. Humid from June to September.
8. Volunteering
Well received in this community. Parallel work rather than shared work.
The Chesapeake planning note
There is no central venue, so choose the one that shortens the most commutes rather than the one that sounds best. And ask about shifts — a lot of this workforce is military-adjacent or in logistics.
If your city has no centre and every venue is a long drive for somebody, We bring the host, the storyline and every piece of the game to your venue, and we ask for about 45 days so it can be staffed and prepared properly. Pricing and availability shows what your guest count works out to, you can book a date directly, and the contact page reaches a person if you would rather talk it through first.
